Our reputation for educational excellence is based on the employability of our alumni.
If you are a graduate of Computing and Information Systems, or of the two departments that merged in 2012 to form CIS, we would love to stay in touch with you, and have you help us in the future.
We are always looking for alumni to take part in visits to schools, Open Day activities, and so on; and also for profiling in our marketing material and on our web page.
We find that prospective students would much rather hear from current and recently completed students than they would from academic staff.
We are also interested in having alumni give guest lectures and seminars, as another way of building connections between past and current students. Topics can range from ‘What my first year in the workforce was like’ through to ‘Selling your idea to a venture capitalist’.
Finally, as a member of the alumni association, you will be able to stay in touch with other graduates, and build on the network of relationships and knowledge generated by your completion of an IT degree at the University of Melbourne.
